Meet your Counseller
Anna Lopeman
BA (Hons), MBACP
Hello my name is Anna and I am a counsellor and psychotherapist. I run a private counselling practice situated in the Daventry area, where I have created a cosy safe space for you to feel comfortable to explore any challenging thoughts and feelings. I know first hand how daunting seeking therapy can be and have been through my own therapeutic journey. I enjoy walking my dog, running and spending time with my family. I am a great believer in meditation, the power of the mind and in counselling itself. I enjoy and pride myself in building deep connections with my clients and find this therapeutic relationship to be fundamental to the work we do together. You will find me to be calm and considered, warm and non-judgemental. These attributes are echoed in the counselling room with the aim of you feeling safe and at ease in my presence so you are able to be yourself, and trust in me and the therapeutic process.
“People only seriously consider change when they feel accepted for exactly who they are.”
Carl Rogers
How I Work
I offer a safe, nurturing space where you can truly be yourself. A confidential space where you will be accepted for who you are and where you are in your life, with no judgement and my full attention and respect. This is a time for you to explore your needs and concerns, together we can explore and navigate whatever difficulties or emotional pain you are facing. This is a journey that we can take together, side by side.
In this supportive environment my aim is to help you develop greater self awareness and a sense of understanding and acceptance, with the hope of a more balanced outlook. This will lead to a deeper sense of trust in yourself, with the hope of you leaning into the life you deserve. My aim is to make you feel as comfortable as possible, working at your pace and supporting you in moving forward. I offer long and short term therapy with regular reviews. Together, we will work to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to explore the most painful parts of you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Membership number 00974758).
